Not sure which one fits your home?

We'll help you choose between LVP and laminate. No pressure either way.

Some homes clearly need waterproof LVP. Others are a better fit for laminate based on room use, budget, and the look you want. During the on-site measure we walk you through what actually makes sense for your space, instead of pushing one material.

Why Northwood Floors

Built for speed. Finished like it matters.

Realtors need it listing-ready. Landlords need it turn-ready. Homeowners need it done without their life on hold. We built our process around all three: fast schedules, clean work, and floors that look right on day one and hold up after.

01

Done in 3 to 5 days

Most homes are demoed, installed, and trimmed out in under a week. You get a finish date up front and we hit it. No drawn-out projects sitting open while a property loses money.

02

Demo, install, and trim in one crew

Pull the old flooring, prep the subfloor, install LVP or laminate, and finish the trim and transitions. One team, one schedule, one point of contact from start to walkthrough.

03

Clean, professional crews

We protect the rest of the home, haul off the old material, and leave the space ready to photograph or move into. No mess left behind for you or your tenant to deal with.

04

Clear pricing, no surprises

Itemized quote with materials, labor, demo, and trim spelled out. The number you sign is the number you pay. Easy to compare, easy to budget, easy to approve.

05

Same-day response

Send a few photos and rough square footage. We come back the same day with next steps and a realistic install window, usually within the week.

What homeowners say

Reviews from real projects.

I had Northwood Floors install LVP in my kitchen and I honestly didn't expect such a big transformation. The space feels completely updated now and way more durable for daily use. They showed up on time, kept everything clean, and finished faster than I thought. The whole process was smooth and stress-free. I'm really happy with how it turned out.

We had LVP installed in our den and the difference is night and day. The room feels warmer, more modern, and actually enjoyable to spend time in now. Jorge and his team were easy to work with, communicated clearly, and made sure everything was done right. What I appreciated most was how clean and organized they were throughout the job. I would definitely use them again.
Helen Kerley
Anderson, SC
Northwood Floors handled flooring for our entire house, combining LVP and laminate, and they did an outstanding job. It was a big project, but everything was well organized and moved quickly without cutting corners. The finish looks consistent across the whole home, which was really important to us. They kept things clean and always kept me updated on progress. Solid work from start to finish.

How long does a typical flooring install take?+

Most single-room installs are done in a day. A full main level or whole-home job usually runs 2 to 4 days, depending on square footage, prep work, and how much trim and transition work is involved. We give you a realistic window in the quote.

Does my old flooring need to come out first?+

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Carpet almost always comes out. Existing hard surfaces can sometimes stay if the subfloor is flat, sound, and dry. We check during the on-site measure and tell you straight which way makes more sense.

Do you handle trim, shoe molding, and transitions?+

Yes. Doorway transitions, shoe molding, stair noses, and clean cuts around cabinets are part of every quote, for both LVP and laminate. That finish work is where most installs fall short, and it's where we spend the most time.

Can you help me decide between LVP and laminate?+

That's a normal part of the on-site measure. We look at how each room gets used, your budget, and the look you want, then walk you through where LVP makes more sense and where laminate is the smarter call.

Is LVP better for pets, spills, or rentals?+

Yes. Quality LVP has a tough wear layer for daily abuse and waterproof construction that handles spills, paws, and accidents without warping or staining. It's also one of the best decisions a landlord can make.

Where does laminate make the most sense?+

Laminate is a strong fit for dry interior spaces like bedrooms, living rooms, hallways, and offices. You get a crisp wood look with excellent scratch resistance at a friendlier price than LVP, as long as the room isn't prone to moisture.

Can I supply my own material?+

Yes. We can supply quality plank from trusted lines, or install material you've already picked out. Either way, we'll tell you honestly what we'd put in our own home and flag anything that won't hold up.

Are estimates really free?+

Yes. The on-site measure, walkthrough, and itemized quote are free with no pressure to commit.
